Garth FairChang

I had the sad job of sending out this notice Sunday, September 6th to our SL FairChang Community.

"It is with regret that I have to tell you that Garth FairChang, my beloved partner, companion and RL husband lost his battle with pancreatic cancer this morning."

He was like a comet in my life, speeding through and touching every corner of my life and soul. I will miss him so much but know he is at peace now and waiting for me on the other side.

I want to thank all of you who have sent me messages of condolence and support, the outpouring has been phenomenal. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all.

There has been a temporary memorial set up by SilverSilverSpike Decosta in FairChang Vista NW

Later I will put up a permanent marker for him in the churchyard that Garth made for me back in 2004.

Thank you all for being there for me, Pituca

  1. Pituca, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please accept my most sincere condolences. We only met a few times when I was a tenant at Fairchang but it only took once to know you and Garth are good people. I'm blessed to have met you both.

    Most sincerely,

    Stellata Primrose

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss, Pituca. You and Garth have touched so many people and have contributed so very much to those of us in SL. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. Pituca, although we have never met I knew of the work of both you and Garth in SL and am so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with you in this most difficult of times.

  4. Pituca, my heart and thoughts go out to you at this incredibly difficult time. I am so very sorry for your loss. Anyone who knew Garth either virtually or otherwise was very blest to have known such a gentle, talented, beautiful man.

  5. Pituca, all of Jennyfur and my thoughts and love go to you. Garth was such a special person, one of the first I met in Second Life, such a huge heart and great personality. I will miss him, and never forget the influence he has had on me.

  6. My sincere condolences to you, Pituca. While I only met Garth a couple of times, my heart was and is touched by the story of you both. You are in my thoughts.

  7. My thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since I heard the news. I have always appreciated your and Garth's presence inworld. Especially in Grignano, Nova Albion and when you had your place just east of the Abbotts Aerodrome in Cowell. I'm so sorry that he will be absent now. He will be fondly remembered.

  8. I’m sorry for your pain and loss. Remember a person’s body may be absent but their love always stays in our heart & life. It’s not easy to lose your spouse to death, but the love you grew to know through him never goes away. Keep it in yourself to remind you that you are not only made of flesh and bones but you have a soul to love with. He touched that love in your soul, and you reached love that counts for life. Despite your pain right now, you will find how the great love you found fits in your life, in the greater purpose of your life, and finally comfort will come to you.
    Remember “love never dies”.
Carry that love you found onto your world till the end. Make it a reminder that what works in this world is "LOVE".

  9. Garth died? Oh no... oh noo. not such a kind soul! I'll miss him so much... im just speechless, such a shock.. :(

  10. Ohhh Pituca...I haven't been around SL in awhile and this comes as a shock to me. Garth lit up the SL landscape with his wonderful creations and gentle loving nature. It warmed my heart when I saw your wedding pictures. You two were the perfect couple.
Know that my prayers are there.

    Sulumor Romulus

  11. I am very sorry Garth died. My deepest condolences.
